When Fate comes Knocking.....

Its not very often that u c a blog from me on socially relevant issues......Cause all that I have to say would have all been said.....N at the end of the day all these sayings just go down the drain!

But But But as I now sit down to blog, it seems so v wrong to write on about yet-another hotel or movie review! After all the lady who jumped to her death from top floor of Carlton Towers yesterday wasn’t she somebody like me ~~ A 20 something, working professional, A young wife, A mother of two(ok I am not there yet).........Well until yesterday her life n mine would hv been going in so v similar parallel tracks...Most probably on last weekend she too must have caught on a movie, binged out at a restaurant n then she comes to work(cribbing am sure) only to be caught in a fire accident ~~ The only escape that she saw from it was the jump from 7th floor(Me in her shoes ~~ the very own thot freaks me out)! Imagine the hopeless situation that she should have been to attempt doing this!!

These co-incidences(yet another co-incidence?? This place is a stone's throw away from my work place)  gives me creeps, wipes off the arrogant confidence of being in control of our lives After all being in a wrong place at a wrong time can alter your life unimaginably...... Did the lady know that yet-another day in office is gonna end like this!!!! Makes me waana pass a quick prayer upwards, to be thankful for yet-another-day that I get to spend here!

May her soul RIP and may the family have the courage to move on!

Life is so v unfair....

....especially when your mother gangs up with her Son-In-Law and makes yours truly slog her ass off in the kitchen....sob sob sob!!

Cooking, cooking n lots of cooking is all I did in the weekend......made rotis(after months together :-p ~~ Dal was courtesy hubbs), pittu (Curry courtesy made my hubbs dearest ~~ U c I v firmly believe in division of labour) and  then had to wake up early morning to make idli - stew for breakfast...Yeah yeah I know too much of cooking !!!

As if all this weren't enuf...I even conjured out this yum yum looking jelly! Valentine's day special U c(so what if its a good one week post the D-Day :-D)

A  bit of empathy and lots of sympathy would be appreciated for all this hard work!

A few Fishy Tales......

A swarm of fishes attacking your legs eating away all ur dead skin n leaving it shining fresh(supposedly)....But but does the pic looks freaky!!! Well well watch the live reactions of a few of the victims.....

Ha ha the reactions range from yucks, goovy and 'Why the Hell did I let u talk me into this'(the exact words of my hubbs)! Ha N what is not captured in this pic(luckily) is these loud wails that yours truly broke in when the fishes attacked her legs!!

Ha so that are the  Fishy Tales- @ a Fish spa that we were upto last weekend! BTW the reactions of my mom (in the pic) made this experience take a whole new dimension in itself....a pure unadulterated joy considering this pedicure (forget fish pedicure) is a all time first for her!!

PS: Click on pic to view them better

The weekend that went by....

....was a quite, peaceful one where we did a lot of mummy-daughter-bonding!

Ha ever thought how relations change post marriage.....your very parents, siblings you almost take for granted before marriage and then suddenly post marriage the moments you get to spend with them becomes precious! Your very own younger sis with whom before marriage you would fight tooth and nail for silliest of the sillies things viz. dresses, perfumes, shampoos and now all of a sudden both of you are very generous and more than happy to part with these and many other precious or not-so-precious things! Your very own mom, whose cooking u thought was never the proverbial maa-ke-haath ka khaana....now u crave to have the egg burji she makes! And how can you forget the temple visits....where in uI would groan n complain to accompany her...now you are the first one to wake up at 3 in morning (yeah yeah I did) and coax the hubs to drives us a few hundred kilometers so that she could have a glimpse of her fav Living God(even thou neither you nor ur hubbs are great believers in it)!!

And then they leave.... leaving a big void in your heart...void not just cause am gonna miss them but I know they gonna be lonely!N this feeling of void would have been replaced with a contended sigh if ma daddy was around! Miss you daddy and I so very much wish that you were around...wouldn’t u hv enjoyed a round of drinks or maybe a game of TT with your Son-In-Law! Or maybe hang out with us in a Pub or a fancy restaurant or may be just shamelessly shown around your daughter and her hubbs!! Miss you daddy..........

PS: N this is exactly how ma valentines day was celebrated..... LOL! On 2nd thots isnt ot how its suppose dto be spent... with ur loved ones :)

What do you do post a fight with hubbs.......

Bang the door shut as he leaves(yeah yeah me mean too), go grrrrr, raid the fridge for something to nibble on (u c no breakfast courtesy the fight), open ur comp, read some timepass blogs and then blog about it!!

N that exactly is what yours truly is upto now:)

Well well this goofy smile ain't gonna last long....very soon very soon u'll c this poor me creeping up to him (virtually or physically) to get some attention from the die-hard Leo of hubbs who would untill then just refuse to accpet my existence!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....help help help!
