If u want to know, this is french toast with a twist! French toast minus the sweetening agents n of course topped with cheese strips - supposedly called "Bombay Toast" in these parts!

Now onto some other interesting news, my mom is decided to become a egg-iterian n a Fish-iterian after a long gap of 13 years! For once am happy that she decided to heed the docs advise... Our incessant breathing down the neck jus kicked out the last iota of doubt she had :-D. Indeed its time for a "Pat On The Back"!

But damn! she chose to stick with her 'holier than thou' veggies!!!! Brrrrrrrrrrrr .. So much for all my plans!

PS: While the Abstain-ism did end, hubbs n family couldn't unfortunately make the sabrimala trip due to some unavoidable-unfortunate circumstances :-/ May be next time?

What happened over the weekend?

For starters landed in chennai at ma in-laws place for a vacation....

N U am at ma in-laws place when ~~ no not when am overloaded with work ~~ but far far from it... Am so vegetated tht at times the prospect of doing dishes seems appealing... Lol! Thnx to ma hubbs granmom **Anti - Jinx** So now you know whom to blame when I put on tht extra tyre..... N ofcourse not to forget the packets-n-packets of choc tht ma FIL is loaded into the fridge cause we are visiting. Seriously, How old does he thionk I am :-D

On another front, went to a indi-blogger meet ~~ The first in terms of meeting bloggers whose blog I hv been on n off visiting ~~ Adithis's mom, sanctifiedspaces ~~ Thnx to Color Deckor Ofcourse! Am glad that their real-life avatars seemed as simple-gracious as their online avatars :) . Heres a pic tht ma hubs clicked at the event ... The mandate Happy- Bday Waali Post!

Whats with me n my bdays! What is it that makes me get onto ma hubs throat on eve of every b'day ~~ This time the slight was the missing cake (N I thot a missing gift too... While it was sitting all nicely gift wrapped on my bedside... But I was too Grrrr to notice :-/ )! So despite this disastrous start, the day did go on quite well ~~ After all my mom, sis n niece being around is in itself a sure shot recipe to a gr8 day :)

Ofcourse the more than generous gifts I got ~~ Watch, Books, wallets(Funny how at times the very thing you had in ur wish list for a long time materializes as a gift from the most unexpected sources!), dresses (My sis came loaded with like 4-5 new dresses :-D) was the topping on the cake! Ha! The fishy dinner had @ Coast -Coast (Koramanagala) jus added the 'yummy' quotient to the day :) Surprisingly or sadly the fact that a v v v v dear person conveniently missed the day dint spoil my day ~~ Realization dawns huh!

On another note, as u know me n athletics jus don go together ~~ Last week I hv been tagging along with am hubbs for his swimming classes n well looks like am almost on verge of giving it up :(.... Help! Help! Help!

Weight(y) issues!

Well what do I say?? If u even know me minuscusely, u know I n Food go hand-in-hand! 'Foodie' is a title tht I look up with reverence......

So dieting n weight were issues tht I wasnt hugely worried about... Also as ma frnd says my height ensures tht all the extra weight spreads equally across the full 5'6 inches of me n so it aint a eye-sore! Bottomline ~~ I jus couldnt be bothered more ~~ Life is all abt good food n happy times dearies !! But but all good things gota come to an end one fine day don they!.....

On one of the (Now) routine visits to the Mr.No-Nonsense-doc he decided tht am 10 kg overweight n gives me an ultimatum tht I gota lose 2 kgs overnight... One month is overnight na??? Else u said?? Ha letta not go there...... So imagine ma life now..... No yum-yum food, no chocs, no sweets.. sob sob sob!!!!! What fun is left in life I say!!!! N ho not to be missed was the Boy-Am-I-Pleased snicker on ma hubs face....... Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

But jus to compensate the lack of these happy notes ~~ A dear frnd decided to gift me ma b'day gift in advance(A good 1.5 months b4... LOL!).... Isnt tht sweeeeeeeeeeet :-D Thnx Sweets :)

N I hv to tell u this..... Why do u think she picked this one? For one she knew tht am hooked onto these mushy-mushy M&B Kinds(Afterall she lends me thm every other week)..... But na thts not it! It seems the cover page for some reason reminded her abt me... Now now thts a compliment aint it :-D

Christmas came late(or early)!

All it means is it was time for some 'gifting' business.... yoo we(or at least the hubbs) hit the jackpot! One thing thats been there in his wish list for a long time is a DSLR n thts what he gifted himself over the weekend!

Remains to see how soon ma boy outgrows his fascination :-D. For since yest hes literally been eating-drinking-sleeping the cam .....Imagine the booklet accompanied him to Loo today(!), I wake up to the sounds of photo click-click!!

Imagoine a shopping spree, yum yum food(read fishy fishy :)) with a few of my fav peoples... The perfect weekend bonanza formuale!

But of course this links upto the Colordeckors weekend wrapup... No betta feature than weekend wrapup huh.. after all don all good things happen on a weekend ......I got married on a fri tooo... LOL!

The Weekend Wrapup!

Nope....the fireflies nvr happened :(. What we instead did was this..

Ma Rock(ing)-Climber!!

Yosh! Thts ma hubbs on his first attempt at rock climbing ~~ He puffed n coughed but managed to drag himself up the 15 Ft rock (with minimal aid of the harness-rope I should add) ~~ Not bad for a completely out-of-exercise beginner I should say! But but reminds me that time I get him to drag himself out for some physical exercise (Me???? Neeeee :-D)

N then right behind went up ma frnd ~~ She with her not-so-lite frame(Now u know whom to blame if u don see me blogging again!) managed to go up the 15ft with the agility that would hv left many men there squirmy! This when many uncles there dismissed her as a mere wisp of a lady ~~ Many assumed she gona scale a 5ft height n call it quits ~~ Way to go babes! Did I add tht this toyboy of a lady equally specializes in dishing up the yummiest of biryanis n ofcourse in all jatjkas-matkas of a sexy lady :-P

N what was I doing in midst of all this u asked? Does hopping over a few rocks(bullied by the above 2 ruffians) count as rock-climbing???????????

Nothing makes or breaks a relationship as words can......

A line that I hv heard umpteen no. of times n which I brushed off as one of those over rated proverbs... until the other day! Here is sending a fervent prayer up there that this is just a passing wave n things are back to normalcy soon. A few relationships are what defines the very person we are minus them would mean a incomplete me...

Ha this n this ensured taht the weekend wasnt a happy or a happening one! But well well with a hubbs around n with ma dearest sis visiting it ofcourse couldnt be a dead one ~~ So post some spring cleaning on sat, sunday saw ma hubbs dishing up this yum yum dish!

N ha as if the excitement of the week wasnt sufficient ~~ almost at the fag end came another unpleasant one ~~ A missing wallet (stuffed with all cards n umpteen no of imp docs!) ~~ Luckily it was jus a false alarm but well realized post blocking all the cards... So do I sobn sob sob or thank ma lucky stars!

This a part-collage from the pot luck we had @ work the other day.... Yummmmm isnt it! N this as I said is part of the big picture ~~ The best part ~~ The dessert I mean is missing! From pulao to Mattar-panner to Poori-Aloo to chicken to parthas to kuzhi paniyaram to rasgulla-jamun-payasam it was an amazing spread :)

Trust me nothing bonds people as much as food (N Booze :-P)!
