Epitome of Valentines Day....

Cute isnt it :). Pic courtesy hubbs ofcourse

Here is wishing you all a happy valentines day ~~ Hv a good one!

Speaking of mine, wouldnt call it a "romantic" date but managed to hv a "couple" lunch post ages as against the hurried eat-on-the-run places!

Linking this to ABC Wednesday(E is for Epitome)

Feb 14 :-D

Valentines day it is :-D

N man! Its our 5th together..... Time does indeed fly! From the first-time giddy-in-love to a sane-happy-family-time last year  life did seem to have taken a big turn over the years! But well more on it later...

As I was flipping thru a few of the archives ~~ I realized the first we spent post wedding has never been recorded... So here it is more for happy-memories sake :)... The very thot of it brings a smile onto ma face

Ha the celebrations during those good old days revolved around jus a single  thot... 'Gifts' N 'Eating Out'! The first landmark was eay to achieve..... The mandatory exchange of gifts(A fastrack watch for me :-D)...  I gota give it to ma hubs.... He did play it up!

The remaining part is where the fun lay... In finding 'The place' which had to live upto the promise of the 'Romatic-valentine-Candle-Light-Dinner'... A tall order I know! So out we went armed with 'Kingfisher Explocity Great Food Guide' (Yea! We actually did that) and while most places were ruled out for being either too exhobiriant or too crowded the hunt continued! (If theres one thing I hv learnt it is that its much more romantic to hv a candle-light dinner in confines of ur own sweet home atleast on a day like this!). N surprise of surprise we land up at this small cosy roof-top Restaurant(yea yea the heights of romaticsm :-P) ... Charcoal (Ofcourse this is ma space n am more than allowed to exaggerate here :-P) . Ofcourse after the customary drinks n food were ordered, photos clicked ~~ The candles were conveniently forgotten n it was time to bid goodbye!(Yea ma way of softly saying... Boredom crept in)!

Well in all this lies the magic of silliness, the magic of blindly aping the jane-next door...... But slowly n steadily this silliness gives way to what I hope is true love :). On tht note wishing you all a very happy valentines day... May this year be filled with lotta lotta lotta love n happiness :)

The weekend that went by....

....was a quite, peaceful one where we did a lot of mummy-daughter-bonding!

Ha ever thought how relations change post marriage.....your very parents, siblings you almost take for granted before marriage and then suddenly post marriage the moments you get to spend with them becomes precious! Your very own younger sis with whom before marriage you would fight tooth and nail for silliest of the sillies things viz. dresses, perfumes, shampoos and now all of a sudden both of you are very generous and more than happy to part with these and many other precious or not-so-precious things! Your very own mom, whose cooking u thought was never the proverbial maa-ke-haath ka khaana....now u crave to have the egg burji she makes! And how can you forget the temple visits....where in uI would groan n complain to accompany her...now you are the first one to wake up at 3 in morning (yeah yeah I did) and coax the hubs to drives us a few hundred kilometers so that she could have a glimpse of her fav Living God(even thou neither you nor ur hubbs are great believers in it)!!

And then they leave.... leaving a big void in your heart...void not just cause am gonna miss them but I know they gonna be lonely!N this feeling of void would have been replaced with a contended sigh if ma daddy was around! Miss you daddy and I so very much wish that you were around...wouldn’t u hv enjoyed a round of drinks or maybe a game of TT with your Son-In-Law! Or maybe hang out with us in a Pub or a fancy restaurant or may be just shamelessly shown around your daughter and her hubbs!! Miss you daddy..........

PS: N this is exactly how ma valentines day was celebrated..... LOL! On 2nd thots isnt ot how its suppose dto be spent... with ur loved ones :)

My first Valentine:-)

My first ever Valentine's Card :-D. Now that deserves a place right at the top rt

Imagine celebrating your first valentine after more than twenty four years of existence! Doesn't speak much of my fan following ...does it:) Well all my previous valentines were spent day dreaming about 'smart hunks' - they just happened to get a new identity every year :-).

This year saw my dream turning into a reality(albeit a virtual one as we are in two different cities!)... So for the first time yours-truly has a valentine. Ha, the pleasures of doing  mushy things with no trace of guilt(well the pic should give u ideas) ;)  Now only if my daddy was around it would have been just pic perfect:(

Now let your imagination go Wild :-D. Pic Courtesy Google!

Of course am not ending this post without showing off the Swarowski crystal pendant he got around to gifting me :-D. Here is hoping for a lifetime of happy, blissful Valentines with him....
