Day 1 - Festival Of Words....

Am choosing to write of the seven loves of my life......

 Speaking of love, As on yesterday I finished 6 years of marriage  with pheno who ensures that the journey of life is indeed an 'Phenomenon' come rain or sunshine......

As we embark on the "seven year itch" journey, here is hoping this year will bring us more luck, hope and happiness :). N of course more goodies, more hols, more laughter.....

My sis celebrated her first marriage anniversary yesterday n here am still wondering when did my litt sis grow up so much ;). Here is wishing both of many many many happy year n  happier memories.......

Monsoon Magic at its Best!

This space is been silent for too long for my liking! So in an attempt to revive this space, here is a review of the place we stayed at our last weekend getaway to Chikmagalur (it was our anniv if u wana know!)....... Guddadamane

First things First - this is a "Home stay" in its truest sense. So u are allotted a room tucked right in the heart of their home thou don yea worry u will have all the privacy u want!

Now lemme start with the negatives - as they really arent many

There are some lovely outdoors out there- what with it being bang in the coffee estate. So it seems atrocious that the rooms you stay at do not open out to the outdoors. Especially considering that for many city-breeds a holiday equates to spending time in midst of nature! As for food, the variety is great but at least in non-veg u get this distinct feeling of it being put together in a haste(so chicken seems not properly marinated)

Now for the plus - beautiful property in midst of nature(they could definitely do more to use that to their advantage) - ha the pleasure of waking upto chirping birds.Great place to sit back with a book over cups of hot coffee, go for long walks. The topping on cake is the fact that if you choose to do more touristy things like tick off the 'To Visit' places list - you arent really v far off from them either.

Now isnt tht Truly a desi-style Barbeque!

One thing u should definitely do when you there is go for a walk on their estates - Gumboots, walking sticks, umbrella are v thoughtfully provided - hubss got some amazing clicks of the flora n fauna that abound there.


As for the food, One thing I absolutely loved is the lip-smacking good live - barbecues(v much our desi style) and home-made wine devoured as u huddle around a camp-fire!

All in all a value for money (2500 per couple per day including breakfast-lunch-dinner - monsoon weekday offer i guess)! N definitely a place where monsoon plays its magic... the place is so green after a shower of rains that it’s a balm for city tired eyes!

Happy Anniversary To Us :)

Yea Yea... Its our anniv tommo.... the 31st of aug.... our 3rd one.... Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

3 years of madness, learning, fighting, happiness, tears, sorrows, laziness, grief, stupidity, indulgenesss...... Tht I guess defines our life! Love u Pravinaaa. Muah!!!

So people wish us a gr8 year ahead...... N how many of them I hear wondering when u gonna hear "Good News"... patience dearies patience!

PS 1: It also marks a year of our moving into our first home together!N as usual with us everything is gotta hvave a hint of madness involved..... Ha wht mess the house wa sin when we moved last year... Wood work incomplete, painting still in progress... Omigosh! Thank God for mothers!

PS 2: I got a gift!!! Yea yea yea yea!! 2 pairs of beautiful swarowski ear drops..... N it was a surprise n the foolish me couldnt just stop grinning ear to ear....... He knows how to smitten his wife! But but so tht he hears it loud n clear the next time I prefer a watch...a big dial one at that ......Wink Wink!

BTW am I allowed to be piized with all near n dear ones who miss my anniv tommo... Plzzz say yes!

Happy Anniversary Sabs-Bins!!

Happy Anniv Sabi - Binoy...Ho yeah the same couple who keep popping in into all my posts! Well this time they arent really popping in as this is dedicated to them on their anniversary!


Grrrr....I hv spent last 30 mins trying to write a post befitting the occasion but being poetic or singing praises is just not my cup of tea...n the hubbs of mine refuses to help!! So here is something straight from my heart.....You guys are special, a gr8 n rocking pair!



Lemme first give u a brief dekko of this couple! Sabs comes from what I call a 'English Literate' family i.e a place where they eat, drink sleep english literature n for whom religion is a matter of personal belief! No church going, no religious afflictions whatever! Now contrast this with Bins who comes from a from a orthodox Malyalee achaayan (read Christan) family (well didn't our hero almost go on to become a priest ...Sabi Thank ur stars tht he decided to opt out!) who were into farming, rubber tapping n such!!! N now their personalities...our heroine steps in straight out of english classics.... a wee bit dreamy, (v v v v) idealistic, impractical, romantic, exuberant, nomadic ....you get the flow hey! N our hero........A seemingly rooted practical, level headed gentleman but as Sabi says n which I can vouch for a big kiddo inside

A great divide hey?? It has never ceased to surprise me as to how these two completely contrasting souls have come in seamlessly together!! A couple who perfectly compliment each other!


Here is wishing you guys many more haapy anniverseries together! You guys really rock!!
